Sealy, North America’s No. 1 mattress brand, today
announced Jamie Piper has joined the company as Director
of Marketing Communications. Piper joins Sealy from
Whirlpool Corp., where she led marketing efforts for
some of the most powerful brand names in the cooking,
refrigeration and dishwasher businesses.

proven track record required to
not only lead Sealy’s marketing
communications efforts, but also
to excel,” said Jodi Allen,
Sealy Senior Vice President and
Chief Marketing Officer.
“Jamie’s product launch
expertise, marketing background,
as well as her brand messaging
and negotiation skills, make her
the perfect fit.”
During her three years at
Whirlpool Corp., Piper served in
roles of increasing
responsibility, most recently
holding the position of Senior
Sales and Marketing Manager. In
this role, Piper was responsible
for managing the sales and
marketing of all cooking and
refrigeration business for
Whirlpool’s Home Depot account,
representing more than $300
million in annual sales.
Previously, Piper served as
Senior Category Manager for the
KitchenAid and Jenn-Air
Dishwasher brands and as
Category Manager for Maytag
Dishwashers, successfully
managing marketing and product
development, while routinely
exceeding expectations and sales
targets.
Piper began her professional
career gaining valuable
marketing and sales experience
in the automotive and retail
industries, first in retail
sales with Limited Corporation
and later as a marketing manager
with DURA Automotive Systems,
Inc. She received a master’s
degree in business
administration from Michigan
State University and a bachelor
of science in marketing from
Oakland University. At Oakland,
Piper graduated Summa Cum Laude
with departmental honors and was
a recipient of a Presidential
Scholarship. At both
universities, Piper ranked No. 1
in her class.
