Mattress Firm and
Protect-A-Bed are joining forces to raise money to
support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan)
and the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).
During the month of November, National Pancreatic Cancer
Awareness Month, a portion of the proceeds from all
Protect-A-Bed product sales at any Mattress Firm
location will go directly to PanCan and TGen to further
fund research to save lives.
This year, Mattress Firm is also providing the
opportunity for the general public to make a donation
online at
www.firstgiving.com/mattfirmandpab. All funds
raised go directly to
PanCan, which is a nationwide network of people
dedicated to working together to advance research,
support patients and create hope for those affected by
pancreatic cancer.

company-wide effort to do our part to help find a cure,”

Every penny counts, as pancreatic cancer is the
fourth leading cause of cancer related deaths in the
United States and has the highest mortality rate of any
of the major cancers with only 5% of those affected
surviving longer than five years. New cases continue to
rise and it’s estimated that 43,140 men and women will
be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and 36,800 will die
of it this year alone.
