July 17, 2008 - Bedding veteran John “Johnny” Griggs has been named Vice
President of Sales at
Ergomotion, the adjustable bed
maker based here. Mr. Griggs will be responsible for
managing and growing Corporate Account business, developing
and implementing customer sales training, managing the
company’s national independent sales representative team ,
working with the marketing department, and using his
extensive experience in the adjustable bed business in
working with top management.
 With
over 28 years in the Bedding industry, Mr. Griggs recently
left his position as Sales Director Southwest Region with
Leggett and Platt’s adjustable bed division. Prior to
joining Leggett and Platt, he was Director of Sales for
Florida-based Orthomatic Adjustable Beds.
Mr. Griggs brings over 17 years retail experience in all
aspects including sales and management. During this time he
was responsible for managing a Top 100 Retailer with bedding
sales exceeding ten million dollars annually. He also has
sales and management experience during his tenure with
Spring Air and Lady Americana.
His prior responsibilities at Leggett and Platt included
partnering with bedding manufactures’ upper management and
sales teams to grow their adjustable bed category and to
help them with their retail partners. Most recently, Mr.
Griggs was with L&P’s Consumer Product Division during its
rollout of direct to retail sales program, developing new
channels for distribution and retail business.
“Johnny is expected to bring a new perspective to Ergomotion
as we grow our business with existing and new customers. I
describe him as the ‘Tony Robbins of adjustable beds’. He is
a dynamic individual. We’re proud to have Johnny on this
team,” Ergomotion President Kelly Clenet announced.
Ergomotion will show its products to domestic and
international customers in new Building C, space 1355 during
the Las Vegas Market July 28 through August 1, 2008.
